Sprawl is a visual research project exploring freeway networks in Los Angeles through satellite imagery sourced from Google Earth. From an aerial perspective, the project examines the gestural and often destructive forms of freeways, looking at their architectural roles as borders and boundaries. The project situates freeways as agents of erasure and spatial transformation, continuing my broader research into the visual and cultural landscapes of Los Angeles.
